Marj my cousin, just nine years my junior. We lived in different states but that did not hold back our mothers as they plus the their younger sister were like kid sisters when together. Neither of our mothers cared to learn to drive a car so Dad gave me 50 cents on my 15th birthday to walk over to our hometown court house and purchase my drivers license. As soon as the roads were free of snow, but not
mud in the spring, I would drive mother to Wisconsin Rapids for our visit.
Marj and I had our own fun as her father had built a one story doll house for me
which was passed on to Marj. I kept the cast iron ffurnishings so Marj could pick her own.My visits continued so our children could gather in Marj and Ron's large back yard for spontaneous play together. I am so glad I caught their happy little faces on camera..
In more recent years the visits became us gals-Marj's cousins-Audrey, Sandra, Sue and myself. Marj was a very creative gal and one of the best as a person. My memories and stories will be part of our family genealogy. Peace be with you- dear cousin, missed but not forgotten. Love you,cuz. Bett
