Obituary of Brenda Lee Hicks
Brenda Lee "Ma" Hicks, age 66, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Bryan Lundquist will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Nekoosa. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday and from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Brenda was born July 29, 1949 in Wisconsin Rapids to Clarence and Betty Jane (Dusterdeck) Passineau. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1967. She married Terry Hicks on November 16, 1971 in Port Edwards and was blessed with 44 years of happiness together. She was a loving mother to her six children.
She was employed as a line worker at McCain Foods in Plover for many years until her retirement. Brenda enjoyed camping and attending family gatherings. She loved to spoil loved ones with her cooking. Her faith in God was very important to her. Brenda was always willing to help anybody with anything and took everyone in as if they were her own. Everyone who knew "Ma" had a funny story to tell about her. She was loved by all and loved each person back in her special sort of way.
Brenda is survived by her loving husband, Terry Hicks of Wisconsin Rapids; sons: William Passineau of Wisconsin Rapids, Terry (Tammy) Passineau of Stevens Point, Shannon Hicks, Jeff Hicks, and Bob Hicks all of Wisconsin Rapids, and daughter, Lisa (Kyle) Gunderson of Benson, MN; seventeen loving grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, five brothers, and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers-in-law. She will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
