Obituary of Merjele Anger

Merjele I. "Midge" Anger, age 92, of Wisconsin Rapids, died peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Strawberry Lane Medical and Rehabilitation Center in Wisconsin Rapids. Merjele was born June 25, 1923 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Frank and Fannie (Belle) Hardon. She married Clifford Anger on July 23, 1955 in Providence, Rhode Island. He passed away on November 8, 2004. Merjele was an avid bridge player and league bowler during her adult life. Trips to the casino were a favorite of hers. Merjele also had a great quick-witted sense of humor that many will miss. Merjele is survived by her daughter Susan McKinney of Friendship, Wisconsin, her son Robert (Kathy) Anger of Brookfield, Wisconsin, her son Bradford (Kim) Anger of East Troy, Wisconsin, and her son-in-law Gerald Mohn of Wisconsin Rapids. She is further survived by 12 grandchildren: Larry (Mary) Hughes, Jr., Leonard (Sandra) Hughes, Libby (James) Raymond, Melissa (McKinney) Baumgardner, Kelly Anger, Gregory (Rebecca) Anger, Courtney (Joshua) McKinley, Bradford Jr. (Wendy) Anger, Jonathan Anger, Matthew (Brooke) Anger, Caitlin Anger and Steven Anger ; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Judith (McKinney) Mohn, her great-grandson Elijah Anger, and siblings Gilbert Hardon and Clayton Whiteley. The family wishes to thank the caregivers both at Strawberry Lane and at Aspirus Comfort & Hospice Services for the exemplary care and friendship shown to Merjele. There will be no public services or visitation. Merjele will be laid to rest next to her husband at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Wisconsin Rapids.
