Obituary of Susan Dianne Johnson

Susan Dianne Johnson (DJ), born on May 16, 1944, went to meet her Father in Heaven on August 26, 2020. Left behind to mourn her passing are cousins Betty Lindroth of Akron, Ohio and Joanne Shanaberger of Brimfield, Ohio; second cousins, Mark and Chris Shanaberger of Brimfield, Ohio; son, Michael and children of Alabama; other grandchildren, Zach and Adam Kalil and Lauren Gillespie of Akron, Ohio; special friends Robin Howell and children, Michael and Lori Cowgill of Dayton, Tennessee; Loralee Isaacson, caregiver and good friend; and other friends too numerous to mention. Diane is preceded in death by her father, Archie Barnett of Tennessee, her mother Ada Barnett of Phoenix, Arizona, daughter Marcee Kalil (Joe Kalil) of Akron, Ohio, daughter Mollie Johnson of Dayton, Tennessee, and former husbands Fred and Roy. Dianne was a nurse for close to 40 years and held a variety of positions. She was a caring, compassionate, and loving person. She loved to send greeting cards for every occasion, or even just to cheer someone up. She would often send a second card for the same occasion if she found a card she liked better. Dianne was an animal lover, often taking in stray cats and dogs. Her final pets were two chihuahuas, whom Dianne affectionately called her girls. She loved them dearly. Burial for Dianne will be private in Akron, Ohio with family members. Susan, Dianne, and Mollie Johnson will be buried side by side. Several memorials for Susan have been held in Dayton, Tennessee and Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
