Obituary of Vanessa R. Wagner

Vanessa Raye Wagner, age 53, of Black River Falls, WI, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. Services will be held 11:00 A.M.on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Cex Haci Community Building in Nekoosa. Burial will be at Dexterville Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from Noon until 4:00 P.M. on Sunday at Herman-Taylor FUneral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the Cex Haci Community Building. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be assisting the Wagner family. Vanessa was born November 22, 1966 in Los Angeles, CA to Frank and Joan (Thompson) Rodriquez. She received her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Mid-State Technical College and later furthered her education at UW Marathon County where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse for the Ho-Chunk Nation Health Care Center. Vanessa enjoyed being around people. She was always smiling and loved helping people. She liked to take her son Jordan to the sandpit and canoeing. Vanessa is survived by her son, Jordan Wagner; her siblings, Helene (Steve) Bean, Rebecca Rodriquez, Vonetta Rodriquez, and Vincent (Jennifer Dunn) Cadotte; many nieces and nephews; other friends and family; and her special cat, Kit Kat. She was preceded in death by her parents.
