Obituary of Rick Gass

Richard “Rick” A. Gass, age 61, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away, Friday, February 21, 2020 at his residence. A celebration of Rick’s life will take place at a later date. Rick was born July 2, 1958 in Streator, IL to Frederick and Olga (Orsowy) Gass. He graduated high school in 1976 from United Township High School in East Moline, IL. He married Sharon and they were together until her death in 1985. Rick was a hard worker and worked various jobs throughout his life. He loved fishing, camping, anything outdoors and his Green Bay Packers. He was an awesome cook and enjoyed cooking for others. Rick is survived by his mother, Olga; his two sisters, Christine (John) Gottwalt & Tina Masek (Scott Prinz); his nephew, Brent (Haley) Gottwalt and niece Shaynna (Eric) Reese; along with five great niece & nephews. He is also survived by his aunt, Veronika (John) Eyerman; and an uncle, Josef (ChuHyon) Orsowy, and Aunt Donna Orsowy. Along with several cousins. In addition to his father and wife, he is preceded in death by his grandparents and his Uncle Bruno Orsowy, Jr.
