Obituary of Petrita F. Harris

Petrita F. Harris, age 56, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at her residence under the care of Aspirus Hospice surrounded by her family. A Celebration of Petrita’s Life will be held from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Petrita was born May 3, 1963 in Price, Utah to Michael and Rosie (Rodriguez) Garcia. She married Michael Harris on July 17, 1999 in Price, Utah. She lived in Utah for 26 years prior to moving to Wisconsin. Petrita loved her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to parades and attending concerts at the Marshfield Fair. She also liked to do crafts and play casino games on her cellphone. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Petrita is survived by her husband, Michael; children: Michael (Kera) Garcia, David, Felecia, and Christina; grandchildren: Akasha, Destiny, Angel, Katie, Junior, and Freya; brothers and sisters: Micheal (Samantha) Garcia, Rosie Garcia, Daniel (Kate) Garcia, Matthew (Bernice) Garcia, Kim Gotfrey, Carry Toone and Heather Vancil; step-mother, Joan Garcia; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents and her dog, Sparky.
