Obituary of Donna Lee Case

Donna L. Case, age 90, of Arpin, WI, passed peacefully by the side of family members on Thursday, October 31, 2019, at Atrium Post Acute Care in Marshfield. 

A Celebration of Donna’s Life will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will take place at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Arpin, WI. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2019, from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the celebration at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

Donna was born September 24, 1929, in Omaha, NE, to Bertram and Vinez (Swinson) Pope.  Her early childhood began in the Spooner/Minong area and later moved to Lake County, IL, for her father's work, followed by moving back to WI as an adult.

Donna’s passion and love for horses played a significant role in her life.  She enjoyed all animals, especially dogs, but had a special gift with handling young, injured, or frightened animals.  She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family and had a special bond with her grandchildren.  

Donna is survived by her children: Leon Smith (Colleen Smith), Kristie Smith (daughter in-law), Deena Harrison (Donovan Dolph), Cassandra Case, Derrick Case (Kelly Case), and Davina McGrath (Jim McGrath).  She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and relatives.  Donna is preceded in death by Herb Case (spouse), Diane McNally (daughter), Leonard Smith (son), Lon Smith (son), Bertram Jr. (brother), Alan (brother), Norman (brother), and Donald (twin brother).
