Obituary of Joyce L. Hess

Joyce died peacefully on Monday, May 20,2019 in Wisconsin Rapids under the care of her children, and the staffs at Aspirus Hospice and Our House Senior Living.

Joyce was born on December 4, 1931 in Wausau Wisconsin to Charles and Gertrude (Kell) Poll. She was united in marriage with Edward Hess on July 8, 1950. They spent many winters together in Fort Myers Beach Florida. Their summers were spent at the family cottage on Silver Lake in Irma, Wisconsin.

Joyce is survived by her husband Edward; children Lori (John) Timm, Bonnie Edholm, Randy Hess (Kathy Drewek), sister; Gloria Mortenson and brother-in-law Bill (Phyllis) Hess; she is further survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Linda, son-in-law Rand Edholm and great grandchildren Natalie and Alex Timm.

A graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Wausau at a later date.
