Obituary of Margaret "Muggsy" Novack
Margaret M. “Muggsy” Novack, age 86, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her residence.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.
Margaret was born April 28, 1932 in Wisconsin Rapids, to Frank and Johanna (Bushmaker) Jacoby. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1951. She married Donald F. Novack on August 8, 1953 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. They were blessed with 65 wonderful years of marriage.
She worked at Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company from 1951-1955. She later worked for Jens Nursery, Nepco Lake Nursery, Ocean Spray and Northland Cranberries where she retired in 2004.
Margaret loved getting together with family and friends and playing with and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed watching birds, especially cardinals and hummers. Margaret enjoyed working in her yard, especially in her flower beds. She spent a lot of time playing with and taking care of her little Shih tzu dogs Dusti and Dusti 2. Margaret was an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan and liked watching their games with family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Donald; three sons: John (Michelle) Novack, Arpin, Ricky Novack, Wausau, and Steven (Lisa) Novack, Michigan; two granddaughters: Amy (Chad) Genisot and Alesha (William) DeLong; one step-grandson, Austin Horneke; great-grandchildren: Brady and Autumn Genisot and William and Donald DeLong; one sister, Kathryn Kiefer; one brother, Franklin “Hunce” Jacoby; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dave and Helen Novack; sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Marjorie and Ronald Maier; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; one son, Gary Allen; a grandson, Shannon; three brothers: Sylvester, Alvin and Virgil Jacoby; and two sisters: Gertrude Cumberland and Mabel Westover.
