Obituary of Roger E. Kundert

Roger E. Kundert, age 77, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.  Rev. David Bruener will officiate.  Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Altdorf.  Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.

Roger was born June 29, 1941 in Wisconsin Rapids to Fred and Marie (Van Lysal) Kundert.  His marriage to Shirley Chariton ended in divorce.

Roger worked as a truck driver for Wisconsin Valley Concrete in Wisconsin Rapids for many years.  He enjoyed gardening and loved his dog “Dusty”.  Roger loved being around people socializing or playing cards.  He had a great sense of humor and was known to be a bit of a prankster.  Roger was a bargain hunter and looked forward to area garage sales where he could haggle for the next great deal.

Roger is survived by two sons: Tom and Tim Kundert of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren: Brad, Brian, and Jake Kundert, Jennica (Jodee) Dhein, and Brandon and Bryce Kundert; fiancé, Jennifer Hill of Junction City; and brother, Larry (Ann) Kundert of Wisconsin Rapids.  He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: William and John.
