Obituary of Jacqueline Miller
Jacqueline R. Miller, age 95, died Sunday, September 2, 2018, in Wisconsin Rapids.
Jacqueline was born May 26, 1923, in Nekoosa, WI, to Lloyd J. and Bernice (McLean) Felice. On August 14, 1945, she married Russell E. Miller in Wisconsin Rapids. The couple recently celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary.
Many enjoyed her gregarious personality and commitment to service in the community, in her job, to her family and to her many friends. Jacqueline was a McMillan Memorial Library Board trustee. She was also a Girl Scout troop leader.
Jacqueline was among an early generation of women who entered the local business workforce. Many will remember her as the face of counter service at Wisconsin Valley Concrete Products, her place of employment for over 30 years, where she loved to work and interact with customers. She retired from the company as its treasurer.
A lifelong resident of Wisconsin Rapids, Jacqueline graduated from Saints Peter & Paul grade school, where she made strong friendships which lasted her entire life. She then attended Lincoln High School, represented her class as prom queen, and after graduation served through the decades as organizer of the LHS Class of 1941 reunions.
She enjoyed longtime membership in the YMCA where she exercised regularly. In her younger years, Jacqueline spent weekends with family skiing at Powers Bluff and in later years she enjoyed caring for and cooking for all of her grandchildren.
She was a golfer throughout her life, both locally and in Panama City Beach, FL, where she and Russell wintered in retirement years.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband Russell, daughters Susan Feith (George Mead), and Cynthia Henke (Jeffrey Kulick); sister-in-law Elaine Gill; former son-in-law Jerry Feith; grandchildren Jessica Feith (David Carlson), Corday (Claire) Feith, Christopher (Kelli) Henke, and Sterling (Nicholas) Kulke; and great- grandchildren Loren Henke, Oscar Carlson, Bruno Carlson, Henry Feith, Dashiell Feith, Maddox Henke, Acadia Kulke, and Connor Gardner, Hayden Bemis and Hayley Bemis. She was preceded in death by her parents; three infant brothers Corneal, Lloyd and Robert Felice; and brother-in-law Jack Gill.
