Obituary of Marjorie Ann Reed

Marjorie Ann Reed, age 78, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital.

Services will be at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Inurnment will at Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery at King, WI. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the time of service.

Marjorie was born on February 22, 1940 to Edward and Lillian (Tiernan) Steltenpohl in Wood County, WI. She married Ralph Emmert Reed on June 9, 1956 in Rockford, IL. The couple was blessed with 58 years of marriage until his passing on June 1, 2015.

Marjorie was very proud to be a military wife and loved to live near the ocean. She was a very strong caring woman that loved her family. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Cubs and Blackhawks. She also enjoyed listening to classic country music.

Marjorie is survived by her children: Cindy Reed of Plover, WI, Timothy (Jona McCracken) Reed of Wisconsin Rapids, WI and Ralph (Kelly) Reed of Stevens Point, WI; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; sisters: Olive, Ila and Kathy; brothers: Donald, Wayne and Ronald; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; granddaughter, Elissa Nelson; and brothers: Gene, Alvin and Jerry.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Aspirus Riverview Hospital who went over and above to make Marjorie as comfortable as possible and Herman-Taylor Funeral Home for the wonderful care and support they have provided to them over the past months.
