Obituary of Lorraine Breese

Lorraine J. Breese, 91, of Port Edwards died Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our House Assisted Living in Wisconsin Rapids.

Lorraine was born June 25, 1926 in Wisconsin Rapids to Bror and Olga (Johnson) Worlund.  She married Jerome Breese in Hudson, WI on December 4, 1948.  They were blessed with 55 years of marriage before Jerome died on May 29, 2003.

Lorraine graduated from Lincoln High School in 1944.  She worked for Wood County Telephone Company and Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company.

Lorraine was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards, the lunch bunch from church, and helped deliver meals with Lorraine Grode for many years.  She also volunteered at the food pantry.

Lorraine is survived by her son, James (Sue) Breese; daughter-in-law, April Kain Breese; granddaughters: Carrie Breese, Amy (David) Meyer, and Elizabeth (Matt) Whapham; great-granddaughter, Morgan Breese; brother, Ralph Worlund; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerome; son, John; sisters: Bernette, Carole, and Charlotte; and brothers: Orton and Bror Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards.  Rev. Daniel Bohn will officiate.  Burial will be at Port Edwards Municipal Cemetery.  Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids, is honored to be serving the family.
