Obituary of Caleb R. Voss

Caleb R. Voss, 34, of Appleton, formerly of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at Christian Life Fellowship in Port Edwards, with the Rev. Dean Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the Port Edwards Municipal Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Monday, October 2, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the church.

He was born April 1, 1983, in Wisconsin Rapids, to Randy Voss and Lynda Ketelle, and was a 2001 graduate of Lincoln High School. He loved school and attended classes at Lawrence University in pharmacology and psychology.

His interests included rollerblading, hiking, biking and rock climbing. He was very artistic, having performed as “Soda Pop” in the play “The Outsiders;” He also enjoyed welding, drawing and watercolors when he was younger.

Caleb was a kind-hearted, helpful, unique person who loved God and enjoyed helping others. He was an active member of the Mission Church in Appleton and an avid volunteer throughout the community.

 Caleb is survived by his father Randy Voss of Wisconsin Rapids, Mother and Stepfather: Lynda (John) Thompson of Nekoosa, brothers; Dante Voss of Spencer, and Jared and Josiah Voss of Wisconsin Rapids, grandparents; Fran Molnar of Minnesota and Kay Neukirchen of Wisconsin Rapids, Caleb is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other family members.  He is preceded in death by his brother; Isaiah Voss, grandparents; Richard (Monika) Voss, and James (Sue) Ketelle and uncles David and John Ketelle.
