Obituary of Manuel Orozco Granillo

Manuel Orozco Granillo, age 70, of Nekoosa, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2017, at home surrounded by his loving family.

A funeral Mass will take place at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at St. Alexander's Catholic Church in Port Edwards. Father John Swing will officiate. A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, September 8, 2017, at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary Service beginning at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will also take place on Saturday from 11:30 A.M. - 1:30 P.M. at the funeral home before procession to church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net

Manuel was born on June 15, 1947, in Tepehuanes, Durango, Mexico, to Dario Orozco and Tomasa Granillo of Tepehuanes, in the state of Durango. Manuel married Maria Herrera in October of 1980 and helped raise her two younger children and then they were blessed with two sons.

Manuel enjoyed spending his time with his sons, grandchildren, and family. He enjoyed watching soccer with his sons or playing cards with his family. He liked spending time on puzzles and taking walks. He worked at Millet Supply since he moved to Wisconsin in 1993. He is loved and will be truly missed.

Manuel is survived by his wife Maria, sons Julio (Hilda) Nevarez, Ismael (Ana) Nevarez, Oscar (Sandra) Orozco, and Uriel Orozco. Brothers: Pascual, Santos, Vicente, Lupe, Mario, Victor, and Jose. Sisters: Rita and Lucita. Grandchildren: Ismael Nevarez Jr, Geronimo Mendieta, Daisy Nevarez, Micheal Johnson, Casandra Orozco, Emmanuel Nevarez, Zinia Nevarez, Oscar Orozco Jr, Omar Orozco, Octavius Orozco, Osiel Orozco, and Catalina Orozco. Great-Grandchild: Nevaeh Nevarez.
