Obituary of DeAnne E. Seifert
~~DeAnne E. Seifert, age 60, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at House of the Dove in Marshfield.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, May 22 at Christian Life Fellowship in Port Edwards. Rev. Paul Liebherr will officiate. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Monday at the church. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
DeAnne was born May 24, 1956 in Duluth, Minnesota to Donald and Beverly (Prevost) Norgren. She met Mark Seifert and on October 12, 1973 they had their first date attending a Blood Sweat and Tears concert. Deanne and Mark were married on June 24, 1978 at St. John’s University.
DeAnne was employed as a medical social worker in the hospital setting, as a regular social worker, and later for IBAA. She was also a member of Local P.E.O Sisterhood - Chapter O.
DeAnne enjoyed cooking and growing herbs in her garden. Her favorite dish to prepare for family and friends was clam linguine. DeAnne also enjoyed reading and time with Mark sitting on the sunset bench. She loved spending precious time with her grandchildren. DeAnne also loved music and attending concerts. Her favorite band was Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young and her favorite song by them was “Teach Your Children”. She and Mark attended several of their concerts.
DeAnne is survived by her husband, Mark; son, Reed Seifert and his daughter, Zoey; daughter, Lauren Seifert; mother, Beverly Norgren; brother, Ross Norgren; brother, Mark (Cathy) Norgren and their son, Oscar; and many other loving family, relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald; paternal grandparents, Oscar and Hattie Norgren; maternal grandparents, Everett and Hazel Prevost; and an uncle and aunt, Doug and Margaret Prevost.
DeAnne’s family would like to thank the staff at the House of the Dove for their wonderful care.
