Obituary of Gerald J. Provost

Gerald J. Provost, age 77, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at his cabin in the town of Rome.
Gerald was born November 27, 1939 in Wisconsin Rapids to Emery and Mathilda (Hamm) Provost. 

He was employed by Consolidate Papers Inc. in the Wisconsin Rapids Division as a blade coater operator and later a supervisor, retiring in 2000.

Gerald was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and time at his cabin in Rome.

Gerald is survived by three children: Jeffrey Provost of Wisconsin Rapids, Cheryl (John) Blankenship of Virginia, and Kevin Provost of Woodbury, Minnesota; three granddaughters: Nicole Provost, and Jessica and Erica Blankenship; and one brother: Tom (Thea) Provost of Wisconsin Rapids.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Joan; brother, Richard; and daughter-in-law, Connie.

There will be no public service or visitation in accordance with Gerald’s wishes.  Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.
