To Virgil & Shorty's Family,
I was sad to see that your Dad passed away and want to extend my sympathy to all of you. Your Dad & Mom (my Mother's cousin) were wonderful people and invaluable to my family when we needed them most as my parents (Wallace & Lorraine Janz) aged. Their visits, and the remodeling assistance your Dad did for my Mother after my Dad passed away, were wonderful. They are both missed by all of us here on Earth, but hopefully they are all together in Heaven.

Thank you Virgil for the special childhood memories of when Richard, Ruby and family enjoyed your hospitality, friendliness and love on the family farm.
Virgil and LuEtta's practical, caring, hands-on advice and wisdom -while simultaneously in lovingly in touch with HIM, Jesus - was and is very fondly appreciated.
Other than the Iowa State Fair where their is always 1, I still have never seen a farm with so many large bores and protective geese. Wow !!
And to carry the fortitude, due diligence, good works forward, I, we, have enjoyed seeing you - and other family - members at many family reunions over the decades and are continuing to do so - the next one is Aug. 4th, 2018. It is great. The more, the merrier.
p.s. My Grandpa Russell William Phillips, has a sister named Gladys (Phillips) Gabler.
We loved the loving, fortitude, prudent, charitable, tempered - take no wooden-nickels - nature of both Russell and Gladys - and others and their families.
For instance, Richard and Ruby Phillips helped raise me - and now, we get this note (Thanks to HIM). It is great. They - and the generations before them - did so, so much, selflessly, to help to make this a better place than how they found it - over their precious times here. Count the blessings.
We also deeply appreciate the foundational, Christian upbringing that occurred in the midst of their child / grandchild raising and their honest, challenging work, income earning and home making careers.
As we continue to work towards becoming the "best-version-of-ourselves" (as Matthew Kelly speaks and does), we seek to honor your time here, by nurturing and spiritually building upon those foundations in the Gabler, Phillips family heritage(s) - and many others.
In this Easter Season and others too, may God's Blessings continue to rise up, be seen, within each of us here, and may they be bestowed upon you,Virgil and LuEtta, together again, in peace !!!
Thank you. We love you !!!

To all of the Family:
So sorry to hear of the loss of Virgil. I understand he was in ill health for many years. I am glad knowing he is in Heaven with Shorty and other beloved family members and that he is free of the pain and suffering his earthly body could not heal.
I am not able to attend services on April 20th, but please know that my thoughts and prayers will be with you. May God bless and hold you as you say goodbye to your loved one.
With Deepest Condolences,
Lynn Hanson

Family of Virgil Gabler....we send our sincere thoughts and prayers to all of you during this very sad time of your life. Virgil worked in the Mill as a painter and also was a friend of my Dad. I saw him often at CPI, always said hello with a smile! He is now at peace with your Mom in their heavenly home! I am the older Newberry daughter by 8 years so I never knew most of you! My parents enjoyed visits with your Mom and Dad. I know my sisters and brother were more your age. Your have many fond memories; hold those near to your heart. Take care of each other. May God be with you as you gather for the last time with Dad and Mom here on earth...before they travel to their final home in PEACE. Take Care! Bob and Ruth(Newberry) Cline.
