They later moved to Rudolph after deciding the best place to raise a family was on a farm. Marv enjoyed the country living as he grew up on a farm in Illinois. He was a city worker in IL, in WI he spent time as a farmer, business owner, feed mill worker, and was last employed at McCain Foods in Plover before he retired in 1999. He was very social, had a kind heart, and loved being with his family, friends, and people in general. Some of his favorite things to do were: spending time with his grandchildren, golfing, fishing, hunting, bowling, wood working, and playing cards. He helped organize the senior golf league at Homestead Golf Course (his favorite course) and was part of a traveling golf league that played various courses throughout Central Wisconsin. Every year, he would look forward to his fishing trips to Minnesota where his main job was to cook all the meals for his buddies. Marv is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Barb Ziebell; children: Susan (Allen) Polum, Junction City, WI, and Gary (Dianne) Ziebell, Combined Locks, WI; grandchildren: Jordan, Taylor, Kameron; brother: Wes (Jan) Ziebell, St. Paul, MN; sister-in-law: Norma Spilsbury, San Antonio, TX; brother-in-law: Patrick Darby, Crystal Lake, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; in-laws: James and Margaret Darby; brothers: Ernest and Albert; brothers-in-law: Lynn Spilsbury, Peter Darby, and James Darby. Donations may be made to a memorial established by the family at a later date.
