Obituary of Susan K. Wolden

Susie Wolden, age 64, Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, April 6, 2017, after a 16 year courageous battle with stage IV breast cancer. Susie's interests included volunteer work within the community, crafting, canning and extensive traveling. Her most enjoyable activity was spending as much time as possible with her grandchildren (her "babies"). Survived by husband Larry Wolden, Wisconsin Rapids, son Kevin Pankratz (Laura), Blaine, Minnesota, daughter Nicole Lehmann (Brandon), step-son Brian Wolden (Kathy), step-daughter Amy Scheel (Shane), all from Wisconsin Rapids; sister Kathleen Spencer (Tom), Wisconsin Rapids, brother Karl Hanneman, Wasilla, Alaska; father-in-law Wayne Wolden, sister-in-law Linda Jensen (Len), both of Lonsdale, Minnesota, brother-in-law Lyle Wolden (Brenda), Biron; nephew Jason Spencer (Jennifer, Sienna & Jarrett), Fults Illinois, many nieces and nephews; grandchildren Lucas, Cassidy, Zachary and Alice Pankratz, Cohen, Asher and Jaxtyn Lehmann, Kayla Lynch (Kristopher), Jace Wolden, Elijah and Landon Scheel; and her fur-baby Daisy. Preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vivian Hanneman, mother-in-law Beverly Wolden and brother-in-law Tom Spencer. Family and friends are invited to attend Susie’s Life Celebration from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday, April 12 and from 10 A.M. until the time of her memorial service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 13 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Burial will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in the town of Sherry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Wood County Humane Society.
