Obituary of Doris E. Casler

Doris E. Casler, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Wisconsin Rapids. Doris was born November 25, 1932 in the Town of Carson, Portage County, WI to Lawrence and Jennie (Jadack) Krubsack. After graduation, she worked at Nekoosa-Edwards Paper Company in the Nekoosa mill; leaving to become a full-time wife and mother. Doris was an active volunteer with her church and loved doing arts and crafts. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, especially cardinals. She was an avid reader; her favorite books were the Holy Bible and “Gone With the Wind”. Doris is survived by one son, Paul Casler of Janesville, WI; two daughters: Amy (Dale) Horn and Letty (Daniel) Demski, both of Wisconsin Rapids; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and five sisters. Private family services will be held at Abundant Life Tabernacle in Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery in Milladore. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids is assisting the family.
