Obituary of Amos L. Passineau

Amos L. Passineau, age 39, of Nekoosa, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at his home following a brief illness. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, February 27, 2017 at Herman-Taylor Life Celebration Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Thomas O’Day will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in the Town of Grand Rapids. Visitation will take place from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services, on Monday, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Amos was born December 14, 1977 in Wisconsin Rapids to Michael and Kathleen (O’Day) Passineau. He graduated from Nekoosa High School in 1996. Amos then attended school in Green Bay for HVAC. He furthered his education by attending business management classes at Mid-State Technical College. Amos worked as a manager for Pritzl’s in the Town of Rome, Baum’s in Pittsville, and a gas station in Dexterville. His last job was working at Custom Fabricating and Repair in Marshfield. He was an avid Milwaukee Brewers and Green Bay Packers fan, with Brett Favre being his favorite player. Amos had a passion for loud music, especially rap. He had a “green thumb,” with his specialty being African Violets. Amos had a fondness for one of Wisconsin’s favorites, brats. He had a special place in his heart for deer, birds, and turkeys. Amos had an amazing collection of hats and jerseys. He could be found shopping for those special items at the mall, Fleet Farm or Sam’s Club. Amos is survived by his parents: Michael Passineau and Kathleen O’Day; siblings: Jason (Amanda) Passineau and Melissa (Justin) O’Shasky; nieces and nephews: Hailey, Josh, Hannah, and Hunter; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; best friends: Joe and Sarah Williams and their children Zadie and Teagan, and his beloved cat, Milo. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents; grandparents: Walter and Dorothy Passineau, and a cousin, Aaron O’Day.
