Obituary of Loretta Diane Pollerana

Loretta Diane Pollerana, age 67, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. A Life Celebration service will be held on Saturday January 14, 2017 from 9:00 A.M until 11:00 A.M at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Loretta was born in Los Angeles, California on May 29, 1949 to Vincent and Barbara (Salazar) Pollerana. Loretta was employed by Mobil Oil Company for several years as a cashier. Loretta was an avid collector and enjoyed collecting coins, plates, nail polishes, Disney collectibles and Mc Donald’s Happy Meal boxes and toys and CoCa Cola merchandise. She loved to go to thrift stores in search of more treasures that she could add to her collections. She was a sports enthusiast and being from California was a LA Dodgers, Raiders, Chargers and LA Rams fan. She also enjoyed going to races, especially lawn mower races and doing crossword puzzles. Loretta took many trips to various amusement parks including Disney and Knottberry Farm. She loved the fair and attending parades, especially the Rose Parade. Loretta was a very loving and caring person. She sponsored many Lakota children over the years, took care of her siblings in various ways, and was like a second mother to children in the neighborhood. Loretta is survived by three siblings: Ralph Pollerana (Ginnie), Nita (Blum) Pollerana and Steve (Theresa) Ramirez, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Robert Pollerana.
