Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Randy was born August 20, 1960 in Marshfield, WI to Arnold and June (Budtke) Meyer. He married Lori Hetze on November 3, 1984 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Auburndale. They were blessed with 32 years of marriage and five children. Randy worked for Preway Inc. in Wisconsin Rapids. After Preway closed, he went to work for Wisconsin Homes where he was presently employed as a homebuilder and carpenter. Randy was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He took great pride in being a “super dad” to his five sons and especially enjoyed spending time with his one year old granddaughter. He was an excellent listener and could usually be found out working on cars or woodworking. Randy was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping on Lake DuBay, the Big Eau Pleine and in Richfield. He treasured time spent with family at cabins up north and around the campfire. He also enjoyed several hunting trips out west to Montana. Randy was an excellent cook and baker; and was known for his homemade ravioli and angel food cake. He enjoyed having a good time out with friends shooting league pool for Dupe’s Bar, playing horse shoes or shooting darts. Randy is survived by his wife, Lori Hetze-Meyer; five sons: Jacob (Lauren) Meyer, Milton, Zachary Meyer, Olathe, Kansas, Kaleb Meyer, Eau Claire, and Elijah Meyer and Noah Meyer, Milladore; granddaughter, Elaina; his parents, Arnold and June Meyer; three sisters: Bev (Jamie) Nelson, Pam (Bill) Flink, and Kathy (Chuck) Scherr. He is further survived by Lori’s family; her father, Edwin Hetze; and siblings: Beth (Richard) Clouse, Cindy (Donnie) Krings, Butch (Sandy) Hetze, Steve Hetze and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Verna Budtke and Myron and Dorothy Meyer; step-grandfather, Milvin Kroening; and mother-in-law, Lois Hetze. Special thanks to all of our family and friends for your love and support throughout this difficult time.
