Obituary of Barbara Kay Drinka

Barbara “Nana” Kay Drinka, age 56, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at her daughter’s home in Wisconsin Rapids. Funeral services will be held at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 3:00 P.M. Barb was born December 11, 1959 in Wisconsin Rapids to Chester and MaryAnn Joosten. She married Roger Jablonsky on June 30, 1979 in Wisconsin Rapids. They were married for 14 years and had four beautiful children. In 2000, Barb married Michael Drinka in Neillsville, Wisconsin. Barb ran a daycare service out of her home for many years before moving to Neillsville. After the death of her husband, Michael, Barb became a CNA and enjoyed her job. In 2015, Barb moved back to Wisconsin Rapids. Barb enjoyed many activities which included shopping, vacationing in new places, camping, kayaking, car/motorcycle rides, and most of all spending all her free time with her family, especially her eight grandchildren. She was thought of by many as a wonderfully kind, fun, one of kind person. Survivors include her sons: Roger Jablonsky of Wisconsin Rapids and Roy Jablonsky of Marshfield; her daughters: Paig Manke and Kristen Jablonsky of Wisconsin Rapids; her brothers: Raymond (Maggie) Joosten and Richard Joosten of Wisconsin Rapids; her sisters: Catherine (Rick) Kronstedt of LaCrosse, Phyllis (Keith) Brown of Wisconsin Rapids, Mary (Doug) Craft of Pittsville, Gloria (Greg) Emerson of Sheboygan, Patty Lange of Wisconsin Rapids and Delores Sief of Wisconsin Rapids. Barb had eight beautiful grandchildren she loved very much. Roger has three children: MCallen, Makera and McSonja, Paige has three children: Michael, Aiden and Tiara, and Kristen has two children: Madilyn and Willow. Barb was preceded in death by her mother MaryAnn and husband, Michael Drinka.
