Obituary of Virginia J Ashbeck

Virginia J. Ashbeck, age 75, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at Ministry St. Joseph Hospital in Marshfield. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Father James Altmann will officiate. Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service, on Saturday at the church. Virginia was born on January 4, 1941, in Wisconsin Rapids to Stephen and Jennie (Pascavis) Kubisiak. She attended St. Lawrence Catholic Grade School and later graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. She further attended the business college in Madison for a couple of years. Virginia was married on September 28, 1963 to Norbert “Nubby” Ashbeck. Together they enjoyed their children, and the many “cold” Packer games, including the Ice Bowl. Virginia always had a smile on her face that touched the lives of the people she knew. Virginia is survived by her children: Ann Marie (Dan) Zuelke, Jeff (Dana) Ashbeck, and Andrew (Cheri) Ashbeck; grandchildren: Gabe Ashbeck and Shane Droste; siblings: Marlene (Jim) Stigney and Stephenie (Jon) Follen; and sister-in-law, Kathy Kubisiak. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert Ashbeck; her parents, Stephen and Jennie Kubisiak; and brother, David Kubisiak. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested any monetary donations to be made payable to: Marian Divine Mercy.
