Obituary of Shirley Annette Panzer

Shirley Annette Panzer, age 79, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Wellington Place of Biron. Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Father Joseph Valentine will officiate. Burial will take place in St. Philip’s Catholic Cemetery in Rudolph. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Shirley was born February 4, 1937 in Junction City, WI to Arthur and Myrtle (Wirth) Schroeder. She married Frank Panzer on November 29, 1958 at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids. They were blessed with 45 years of marriage, until his passing in October of 2004. She was a waitress at Herschleb’s Ice Cream Company for 30 years. Shirley enjoyed watching sporting events on television, especially the Packers, Badgers, and NASCAR. She was an avid reader. Shirley was a loving mother and grandmother, who always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Shirley is survived by her children: Dave (Laurie) Panzer, Gary Panzer, Donna Panzer, and Joan (Calvin) Hayden; grandchildren: Jacob Panzer, Emma Panzer, Elizabeth Panzer, Holly Hayden, and Caleb Hayden; siblings: Irene (Louie) Vetrone, Micki (John) Werner, Sally (Ron) Anderson, Delores (Gene) Harper, Elaine (John) Kerslin, and George Schroeder; sister-in-law, Mary Panzer, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Arthur and Myrtle Schroeder; siblings: Virginia, Jerry, Donny, Robert, Arthur, and Fred.
