Obituary of Leon Grosskreutz

Leon ?George? Robert Grosskreutz, 40, 7901 Hetze Road, Town of Sherry, died December 30, 2011 at Ministry Saint Joseph?s Hospital, Marshfield. Services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Taylor, Vollert and Jennings Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids. Burial will be in the Sherry Cemetery in the Town of Sherry. George was born July 22, 1971 in Stevens Point to Larry and Clare (Stanke) Grosskreutz. He is a 1989 graduate of Lincoln High School. For the past 12 years, George has worked as an environmental well digger with Boart-Longyear of Wausau. George enjoyed spending time with his son, Lukey and family. In his free time, he liked to ride his Harley, camp and hunt. Survivors include his parents, Larry and Clare; son, Lukas Grosskreutz; brothers and sisters, Laurie (Ron) Heil of Wisconsin Rapids, Larry of Milladore, Louisa Unruh of Rhinelander, Lyle (Karen) of Rock, MI, Leo (Nancy) of Milladore, Lonny (Geralyn Anderson) of Rudolph and Leanne (Keith) Gasch of Rudolph; grandmother, Regina Seavers of Wisconsin Rapids; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Alice Grosskreutz and grandfathers, Norman Stanke and Roger Seavers. Friends may call at Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, and again from 10:00 AM until the time of services at the funeral home on Wednesday. A memorial will be established at a later date for George?s son, Lukey.
