Leon's time with our family was a great blessing to us. He was a wonderful Dad, not just to his own child but to our three other grandchildren who called him Daddy and love him as such. He was warm, patient, and will be deeply grieved for a long time. We will not let the children forget him as they grow up....we have pictures and videos of many happy times; birthday parties, hockey games and great meals with George manning the grill. Our prayers are with all of George's family and the rest of us as we work through the void that his untimely death leaves in our lives. I believe that George still lives, in a place where there are no tears; only memories of those things which are lovely and precious and good. May we experience God's grace and peace as we also cling to those things. (Phillipian 4: 8-9)

I was so shocked and saddened to hear of Leon's passing. I went to school with him and we rode the same school bus for nine years. I counted Leon as a good friend back in those days and am sorry to say that we didn't stay in touch after high school. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during what I'm sure is an extremely difficult time.

To the Grossgreutz family,
We are very sorry to hear about Leon passing away. I remember hanging out with several of the Grosskreutz kids when I was growing up. Lots of fun times for sure! There is nothing like growing up out in the middle of farm country! May God bless your entire family.

I remember all those handsome Grosskreutz boys growing up...such a very nice family all of you. Sorry to hear about Leon. I remember riding the school bus with all of the kids..Leon such a cutie and sweet kid. My prayer are with all of you.
