You can shed tears that she is gone,
or you can smile because she has lived.
You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back,
or you can open your eyes and see all she's left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see her,
or you can be full of the love you shared.
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember her only that she is gone,
or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.
You can cry and close your mind,
be empty and turn your back.
Or you can do what she'd want:
smile, open your eyes, love and go on.

Kathy I have so many wonderful memories of you starting with Bruces time with rescue. We got to know and love your family and from then on we were family. all the times you would come to our work ( when Heidi and I had the pleasure of working together). to you making our witches costumes from the wizard of oz, the detail that you put into them .I will charish these memories of those times with all my heart and I will never see another lemon dessert again with out remembering your love for them . Until we see each other again .

Kathy you will forever be missed.
Time Is Meant To Heal
Although unheard I thank you
For always being there
Even when you were bedridden
You always seemed to care
You meant so much to all of us
you were special and that's no lie
you brightened up the darkest day
and even the greyest sky
Many tears I have seen and cried
They have all poured out like rain
I know that you are happy now
Cause your no longer in pain.
Four years on I remember you
And what you used to say
You made each of us smile
And live to the fullest each day
They say in time it gets easier
I believe this isn?t true
Because even after all this time
I still don?t have a clue
I was not ready to say goodbye
Your disease just over took
So on this day we remember you
I take a second look
Our friendship is forever
Until death, did we part
Although your away physically
You?re always in my heart

I worked at Higgins Ambulance with Kathy and always loved doing the Madison transfers with her. We would talk all the way home. I miss that and I'll surely miss her too. She was a wonderful person and I'll always remember her beautiful smile.
