.It's been almost 3 years now. I have transferred all the family videos of you growing up so that they can be shared. Your grandchildren are enjoying them as much as I am. I learn more and more as I watch them. Your first time riding a bike, your fear of clowns, your baptism, all wonderful memories. I also have items from your childhood. Bob the Bunny is now with me and is holding up despite his patches of missing fur and slightly detached ear.
Jean and I are doing quite well. Your grandchildren all all in school this year!
Miss you much Dad
Love, Tim

I had the sincere pleasure of getting to know Mike when he worked at WPDR/WDDC. We had many good times since we were both BK..before kids! When I left for maternity leave, he was one of the instigators in a baby shower thrown in my daughter's honor. That was a one-of-a-kind event! While we lost touch when Mike moved away, I was very saddened to hear of his passing. From the comments, I can see that he continued to be the down-to-earth, fun-loving, and generous fellow I knew during my time at WPDR/WDDC. No more Mueller's Meat Market spots, Mike! Vaya con Dios!

So you've made your final signoff here. I know from your great sense of humor you want no one to be sad, but old friend, the loss is just too great. Our time at WFHR/WWRW carries most of the real highlights of the my career - real fun and real creativity such as "You Weren't There!". With such a sharp wit & quick mind it took almost the entire station staff to stage a birthday surprise for you when we recorded birthday greetings and then interspersed them in the commercials that you played that morning. You never knew what hit you, or if you did you were gracious enough not to let on. Say hello to George Carlin for us and I'll leave a partial quote from a favorite TV show: "Ladies & Gents - Take my advice..." Godspeed & I'll raise a glass to you. Pete

My "radio days" were when Mike was "Morning Man at WPDR in Portage, WI He had a great voice. He kept us laughing, and in our private lives hosted many gatherings at his home, playing Risk or card games. He "Curled with Bruce Connon and me in the "Screwball" and ironically we won the tournament! Mike voiced many stories in the SPooktacular and Christmas shows. He was crazy about his wife Deb and his sons. Our memories of Mike will make us smile. See you in Heaven, Mike! Dianne Harris Price

We had alot of fun on the old "Morning Report". Who will ever forget those road trips to Milwaukee for opening day or the live broadcasts from the Wisconsin River during Walleye Days. You left us much too soon. But you also taught us the importance of having a good laugh. Take care my radio brother.

Your Family involvement at the BMX track was wonderful! You helped keeping the sport a family event and a fun time. The "Wheel's and Deal's" Bike shop was a friendly place to work and socialize with them too. How sad that all of this is part of the past. Thank- you DJ Micheal's. To the Family you have our deepest sympathy

I was so saddened to hear about the passing of; as he was known to me; J.D. We used to read "The Night Before Christmas" on air on WFHR from the time I was just a young infant. It's such a special memory that will be with me forever. J.D. is and always will be dear to my heart, and now as I raise my own daughter it will be even more special whenever we read The Night Before Christmas together. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all the friends and family touched by such a wonderful person.

I will miss my former morning show partner. We had a lot of fun. Sometimes too much and we got called into the office - but I think our boss was actually smiling inside when he chewed us out. J.D. died much too young. It reminds us all that the past is the past, the future is not guaranteed, and what really matters is right now - so live today like it was your last.-Bill Bessette, Madison, Wisconsin
