I worked with Bob at John Marshall school for a few years before he retired. He was a very sweet, understanding and kind person. I enjoyed knowing him. My sincere condolences and prayers to his family.

Me. Kawalske was my sixth grade teacher, and he was a magnificent person. I learned a lot from him especially about grammar, writing, and the ruins of Pompeii. He was very thorough and fair-minded. He was also kind and a true educator who enjoyed working with children. He inspired me even so much so that I have been a sixth grade English teacher for ten years. He was a great man and teacher.

Once while taking with Bob about interests and my summer plans we discovered we both had a mutual interest in Professional Bull Riding. Not long after our conversation he gifted me with a book about the PBR. And that is just one small example of his generosity and his friendship. He also shared his unique sense of humor freely. He will be missed. Pat, Carla, Al and Joe I wish you my heartfelt condolences.
