First and foremost I want to extend my deepest sympathy to your Mom, your family and your fiancé.No one ever told us growing up would have to be this hard. I want so badly to turn back the hands of time and be just be those kids again that all hung out together on G&G Jelinski's farm. Never then did I think this day would come, cause it wasn't supposed to end like this. The on going joke was always, we were all supposed to grow old together and see who turned out to be either one of our Dads. You and I would often watch and observe others making such claims...but if truth were to be said...you and I were probably more like them then either of us were willing to admit and certainly not to each other. LOL Gosh I'm going to truly miss you Rodney. RIP..give my love to them all up there.Until we meet again..All My Love,Your Cousin..Mary (Jelinski) Opperman

To all the family that loved Rod I want to say that I am so sorry for your loss.Rod was such a wonderful person and truly could make anyone laugh at his jokes. Rod has left this life but his memory will truly live on.

Rodny, no longer will I drive almost 1500 miles to visit you and have you wonder why my car isn't as clean as yours. No longer will I be able to lean on your car or truck and get that response. "Get off my vehicle, you'll get it dirty". No longer will we have political discussions, because we disagree. You always knew a lot about almost any subject, something I enjoyed about you. Our family get togethers will not be complete without you. Our sympathies to go out to his entire family. You will be sadly missed by Joan and I.

This has been a tough year for our family - - - 1st losing Jerry in March and now Rodney. I always joked that I had the "panel of experts" with my older brothers. The Panel has lost another member. I will miss their banter. Gone too soon - - RIP Rod.

Rodney,was so glad to see you almost a month ago and to sit and talk with you. There are many things I will always remember about you. Like the others the way your cars sparkled because they were cleaned and polished all the time. Your jokes and your love for your Mom's seven layered dinner, that we always had to have for family gathers. It saddens my heart how our family is changing. You welcomed a new baby Granddaugher and how proudly you were showing her off at Grandma's Birthday party. Like my Dad you could tell your Grandbabies were your pride and joy. Though I will miss you, I did not want you to suffer. Tell my Dad hi from us and tell him how we miss him and will always hold your memory in my heart.
