Obituary of Melissa Peterson

Melissa Ann Peterson- Suzda, 21, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24th at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Rev. Mary Lou Plummer will officiate. Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 23rd, and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday, July 24th. Melissa was born June 8, 1992 in Wisconsin Rapids to John and Lori (Brockman) Peterson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 2010, and attended Mid-State Technical College. On November 10, 2012, she married Luke Suzda at the Moravian Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Melissa?s first love was being a full-time mom to her daughter, Lillian Sophia. She was also employed by Chili?s in Stevens Point as a hostess. Melissa is survived by her husband Luke; her daughter, Lillian Sophia; her parents, John and Lori Peterson of Wisconsin Rapids; her sisters: Katie (Scott) Hanneman of Oshkosh, Athena (Shaun) Boardman and Shauna (Zach) Scoll of Wisconsin Rapids; her maternal grandparents, Dave (Marge) Brockman of Pittsville; and her paternal grandparents, Jim (Alice) Peterson of Nekoosa. She is also survived by her father and mother-in-law, Steve (Tina) Suzda; brother-in-law, Nick (Becca) Suzda; and her very special nieces and nephews: John, Adalynn, Croix, Madden, and Kinsley; her special friend, Angie Hess; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other friends. It was Melissa?s wish to be an organ donor. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
