Obituary of Janet Leverance

Janet Mae Leverance, age 59, Town of Sigel, died Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at the House of the Dove in Marshfield. Services will be at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at St. John?s Lutheran Church in Sigel. Rev. Douglas Schalow will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Janet was born in Marshfield, WI on November 14, 1953 to Wallace and Shirley (Stauber) Kuehnhold. She married Loren Leverance on December 11, 1971 in Auburndale. The couple was blessed with 41 years of marriage. Janet was employed by the Wisconsin Rapids Public School System as a secretary for the Mead School for 18 years. She was a long time member of St. John?s Lutheran Church, serving on the Board of Directors. Janet was a very kind hearted, generous, and loving person who always put the needs of others before her own. She thought the world of her boys and welcomed their families with open arms. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and had an incredible group of friends that joined in with her friendly, mischievous endeavors. In her spare time, you could find Janet doing the things she enjoyed- stamping, scrapbooking, quilting, cooking, camping, or attending flea markets. Survivors include her husband: Loren; four sons: Brad (Lori) Leverance, Rudolph; Ryan (Carol) Leverance, Wisconsin Rapids; Nathan Leverance, Coon Valley; Craig (Tina) Leverance, Alma; three grandchildren: Evan, Carter, Isaak; two brothers: Richard (Molly) Kuehnhold and Matt (Vicki) Kuehnhold. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gerald, and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herbert and Lounais Leverance. The family extends a thank you to all their friends and family members, and the staff members of Ministry Home Care Hospice and the House of the Dove that helped with Janet?s care in so many ways.
