Obituary of Norbert Hanneman

Norbert W. Hanneman, 89, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 13, 2013. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 21st at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. John Grohs will officiate. Entombment will be in the Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Saturday at the church. Norb was born July 4, 1924 in Wisconsin Rapids to Roy and Anna (Halkoski) Hanneman. He married Geraldine Rezin on September 9, 1950 in Wisconsin Rapids. He was employed by Consolidated Papers, Inc. until his retirement in 1988 as Wood Procurement Manager with 46 years of service. While working, he was active in the American Pulpwood Association and Wisconsin-Michigan Timber Producers Association. He was a former president, vice president, member of the board of elders, recording secretary and served on several ministries of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Survivors include a daughter, Dr. Wendy L. Hanneman (Mike Rayome) of Wausau; a son, Randy (Linda) Hanneman of Gurnee, Illinois; and two grandchildren, Reid (Ashley) Rayome of Wausau and Bria Rayome of Madison. He was predeceased by his parents, wife Gerry, and sister Joyce Hanneman. Memorials may be designated to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
