Obituary of Michael Edward Bouchard

Michael Edward Bouchard, age 69, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away unexpectedly Monday, October 13, 2014 in Ashland, WI at the shack that he loved. Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Wenger will officiate. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M until the time of service at the funeral home. Michael was born on September 14, 1945 to Jerome and Bernice (Gervais) Bouchard in Ashland, WI. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968; he served three tours in Vietnam. Michael was united in marriage to Kathie Gilbertson on October 26, 1968 in Ashland, WI. He was employed at Consolidated Papers Inc in the Kraft division from 1968 until his retirement in 2000. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He loved spending time at the shack with his friends and family. He liked to do wood working projects. Michael loved to spend time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and his grand dogs. Michael is survived by his loving wife Kathie; two sons: Jeff (Leigh) Bouchard of Pardeeville, WI, Eddie (Missy) Bouchard of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; grandchildren: Waylon, Josie, Ari, Anna and Nathan; one brother: Jerome (Leila) Bouchard; two sisters: Jackie (Mike) Bowman, Laurie (Larry) Christenson; many nieces and nephews; beloved dog: Hooch and grand puppies: Luke and June.
