Not only do Greg and I share the same birthday, we also share a long life history together. When I was a toddler Greg moved in with us. Picture memories show Greg pushing me around in a wheelbarrow playing and keeping me entertained. Much later I moved in with Greg, Joan, and Nikki as I began attending school in St.Paul. Several more years down the road, Greg moved in with me in St.Paul and we were roommates again. Then he purchased a home over in the Como Park area and once again we became roommates. We spent so much time during these years talking, hanging out, and sharing life. Greg taught me how to be an effective driver in the metro area! He was a bit of a offensive driver, moving like a madman in and out of traffic. He always said you just have to get it done on the road, don't be scared! Yikes, it was a blast learning from him and I thought I was pretty cool being able to learn to drive from him. Greg has left a huge and lasting impact on my life as I look back at it. The most recent impact was his love for our Lord Jesus. Along with his sisters, they shared their love for Jesus so much that I wanted to have that same relationship. I will always remember the many things Greg brought to my life and be ever grateful for his presence in my heart.

Thanks so much for your thoughts. It reminded me somewhat of your dear mother, in that they did not say a lot but when they did, you listened. Take care, love Uncle Ken

We are sorry to hear that Greg passed away. He was a great friend to my brother, Bruce. Greg was always quick to help and did very nice work. He helped my brother on many projects at his house and a few at ours. Greg was a very nice guy who touched many lives and made a difference. He smiled a lot and that's how we will remember him. Greg and his family are in our thoughts and prayers.

A long time ago Uncle Greg taught me a lesson about turns….he was giving me a ride on his motorcycle; we were going all of 15 mph but when he leaned into a turn…I leaned the other way….he sensed the shift in weight and taught me a great lesson that day…..when facing turns in the road of life….hold on tight and lean in together until the road smooth's again. Sending my thoughts and prayers to you now and in the difficult days ahead. Lean in and hold on tight to each other!

Uncle Greg was a fun, unassuming and kind man. He had a remarkably strong faith which I found captivating and peaceful. Among his many talents, Uncle Greg was a very skilled craftsman and we were lucky enough to have him work on the very first home we built in Cannon Falls, Minnesota. It was very special for us to work together with him on this project. He will be missed by so many! We send our love and prayers to his family, especially Brittany and Brooke.
Love always,
Brett and Rene' Olson

Greg was 9 months old when our mother passed away. With 4 other children at home under the age of 11, it was a tough beginning to his life. He did not have a real mother until eight years later whe our father remarried. Greg served his country in the Army during the Vietnam conflict. Greg was a kind and gentle soul and will be missed.
