Obituary of John Harry Thornburg

John Harry Thornburg, age 72 of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Friday, September 30, 2016 at Aspirus-Riverview Hospital. A private family ceremony will take place in the near future. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. John was born March 19, 1944 to Thomas and Edith (Gunvalsen) Thornburg in Lakewood, OH. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy, during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his children: Gregory Thornburg and Tracy Crowell; and siblings: Thomas Thornburg, Jr., Marilyn Kern, and Dale (Terri) Thornburg. John was preceded in death by his parent, Thomas and Edith Thornburg and a sister, Beth McKenna. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in his name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, or to another charity of your choosing.
