I'm sorry to hear the passing of Bill. It's been many many years, but one memory I have is that guy could fish and whistle. To the family of Bill, God bless.

My Mom has a memory to share of my Uncle Bill. I told my Mom about seeing Leon S.'s memory in here and she remembered about when they were kids in the depression era, maybe age 6 or 7, all they had to play with were tires. One day Bill and Leon were rolling
tires and one must of gotten away and Bill came back running that "Leeny rolled my
tire in the ditch!" This was a sweet and sentimental memory as my Mom told it to me.
I cannot hardly imagine only having a tire to play with. My Mom, Shirley Voll, is Bill's sister and she is very saddened and missing her brother now along with her brother Kent. She just broke her arm after a fall a few days ago and now had surgery on it, so she
is now recovering at home. I am her daughter Lisa and writing on her behalf. Our family
is so sorry for the loss of Bill, we will miss him. Our love and prayers go out to Bev, and all
the family, especially Jan, Kay, Jim and Kris and their families. We love you all
and you are in our hearts always!! With love and comforting thoughts,
Shirley and Carl Voll, and their kids Jeff, Dan and Lisa.

Hello Cousin Bev and Family . . .
Although I have no real memories of you and Bill, I cannot thank you enough for the contribution you both made to my knowledge of my Churchill roots. I have worked with my Mom (Euldene Shisler Welch) and my Uncle Leon and Aunt Darlene Shisler (Mom's Brother and Sister-in-law) compiling and organizing many of the family geneology materials you worked so hard to collect. The project took a couple of weeks during several trips to Illinois but I loved learning where I came from. Thank you for giving me something to pass on to my Children and Grandchildren.
We'll be praying for you . . . asking the LORD to give you strength for this journey.
Mrs. Aliex Welch Lystlund

I have quite vivid memories of Bill's and my days going back to the 1930s in Valley Jct. Both our families were then living across the road from one another and perhaps 100 yards from our Churchill Grandparents. We played together and ran around bare foot among the sand burrs. There was a swimming hole where Grandpa's cows crossed the dredge ditch that was used in hot weather by the neighborhood kids. I remember Uncle Jim and Aunt Jesse had a Ford coupe. This car had a shelf by the rear window where a few kids could ride. Both of us had sisters born about this time ( mine in 1931 ) and this complicated life somewhat from our standpoint. About 1932 or 33 we had to move away for my Dad's job and Bill's Dad moved his family to become A Wis forest Ranger. We did see each other quite often but it was never again out the door and across the street. This could get long and tedious but I did want to give you a little glimpse of history and of course mourn Bill's passing. Doubt that he and I ever had any cross words that could not be substantiated. May he rest in Peace Leon H. Shisler
