Obituary of Richard Carl Ewert
Richard Carl Ewert, age 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 5:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Chris Kitts will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the Kingdom Hall. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Richard was born March 25, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois to Bruno and Margaret (Kazinski) Ewert. He married Hazel Buffo on June 26, 1954 in Necedah, Wisconsin.
Richard was employed as a starch cook in the coating department at the Nekoosa paper mill for 36 years.
He served as a ministerial servant for Jehovah's Witness for many years. Richard had a great sense of humor and always had a good joke. He was a kind and generous man who not only had love for his immediate family but dearly cared about his extended and spiritual families.
Richard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Hazel; four children: Richard (Diana) Ewert of Wisconsin Rapids, Roger (Lana) Ewert of Nekoosa, Robin (Linda) Ewert of Wisconsin Rapids and Rhonda (Kent) Bowman of Globe, AZ; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sister Yvonne Murphy of Sheboygan, WI; brother-in-law Don (Lorraine) Buffo of Necedah, WI; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Don, and sister Theresa.
