Obituary of Patricia Steele-Villeneuve
Patricia "Pat" Steele-Villeneuve, age 60, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at her home.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.
Pat was born on October 11, 1955 in Deerfield, IL to Robert and Rosemary (Cruttenden) Steele. Pat graduated from Lincoln High School and attended UWSP for a few semesters. She was married to Joseph Villeneuve on February 14, 1986 they were blessed with 27 years together; although the marriage ended in a divorce the couple remained close friends. Pat and Joe were foster parents for Wood County for many years.
Pat was an exceptionally loving and devoted daughter, mother and wife who took great joy in spending time with her family. Pat had a passion for the outdoors; she was a person who recognized and embraced the beauty in all things as well as the spiritual fulfillment that nature provided. She and her family liked to go camping around Lake Superior as well as going on adventures touring around the Upper Peninsula. She had a special affinity for animals especially dogs, cats and rabbits.
Pat is survived by her children: Jessica Glebke of Missoula, MT, Megan (Seth) Follett of Wisconsin Rapids, Luke (Shannon) Villeneuve of Arbor Vitae, WI and Ciãnna Villeneuve of Wisconsin Rapids; grandchildren: Josie and Maddie Follett; father Robert Steele; siblings: Dan Steele of New Mexico, Kathy Thompson of Wisconsin Rapids, Shane (Debra) Steele of Wisconsin Rapids, and Kevin (Nancy) Steele of Arizona; Joseph Villeneuve and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Rosemary Steele.
