Obituary of Abel Reyes

Abel "The Frog" Reyes, age 55, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away peacefully, Friday, January 29, 2016 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Services will take place at Palms Woodlawn Funeral Home and Cemetery in Naranja, FL. Locally, Herman-Taylor Funeral Home is assisting the family. Abel was born April 19, 1960 in Austin, TX to Jose and Guadalupe (Valdez) Reyes. He graduated from South Dade High School in Homestead, FL. Able went on to attend classes at the University of Texas at Austin where he studied business administration. He worked for several years as a truck driver for Heartland Farms Inc., in Hancock, WI. He was very personable and loved spending time with family and friends. Abel was a fan of the Green Bay Packers. He loved to dance and also listen to music from the 70's and 80's. He enjoyed traveling across the United States throughout his life. As his nickname indicates, Abel loved frogs, and collected any type of frog item he could acquire. He is survived by his daughters: Adrienne and Amanda; 1 granddaughter and 3 grandsons; his parents, Jose and Guadalupe Reyes; and his siblings: Isabel, Lucia, Juana, Lali, Mercedes, Margarita, Jose Jr., and Roxanne. Abel was preceded in death by both his maternal and paternal grandparents and a sister, Stella.
