Obituary of Janet Grace Bremmer

Janet G. Bremmer, 82, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away peacefully on Monday, October 3, 2016 at the House of Dove in Marshfield, WI. Services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at St. John Lutheran Church in Kellner. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home, Wisconsin Rapids and from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net. Janet was born in Marshfield, WI on February 21, 1934 to Ignatius and Helene (Lenz) Brandl. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1953. Janet then graduated from St. Vincent Nursing School in Chicago, IL and worked at Milwaukee County Orphanage. She met her husband Karl Bremmer and they were united in marriage on July 30, 1960 and made their home in Wisconsin Rapids. Janet was a homemaker and also involved herself with many activities outside the home. She went on many trips in the motorhome and also stood by Karl throughout all of his ventures. She always looked forward to the annual Brandl girl party. She was a member of the Christian Women, Ladies Elks, Grass Root Cribbage Club 120 and the Thursday morning Breakfast Club. Janet was an avid bingo player and enjoyed her trips to the casino. Janet is survived by her three children: Sherrie (Douglas) Hahn, Kevin Bremmer, and Craig (Mary) Bremmer, all of Wisconsin Rapids; eight grandchildren: Cortney Hahn (fiancé Devin Singh), Tyler Hahn, Tara (Tim) O'Connor, Rachel (Broc) Hennessy, Payton Bremmer, Jourdan Bremmer, Alexander Whitrock, and Samantha Whitrock; five great-grandchlidren; special friend: Rooney (Cortney's dog); two siblings: Eva Gratzek, West Allis, WI, Guy (Janice) Brandl, Marshfield, WI and many special neighbors and friends. Janet was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Karl; daughter: Kim; sister: Lois Hodsdon; two brothers: William Brandl and Kenny Brandl.
