Obituary of Sammy J. Witt

Sammy J. Witt, 75, of Rome, WI, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Sammy was born March 6, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Daniel and Mary (Beller) Witt. He married the love of his life, Diane Campbell, on August 27, 1966.  They resided in Franklin Park, IL where they raised their children and Sammy worked as a meat cutter before retiring to their home “Up North”.  Sammy continued his passion of carpentry and making sausage and sharing it with family and friends. 

Sammy is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his children: Holly (Jim) Barnlund and Brad Witt; his grandchildren: Lindsey Sykora and Michael Sykora; and his siblings: Jerry Ann Klienmark, Jim (Anne) Witt, Darlene Watkins, John Witt, Barbara Krause, Chuck (Joyce) Witt, Jennifer (Merc) Morrison, Connie (Dennis) Merrick, Danny Witt, and Michalene Jablonski; he is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
