Obituary of Sandra Marcouex

Sandra L. (Essex) Marcouex, age 65, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 3, 2018 at her residence.

A Life Celebration for Sandra will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

Sandra was born October 23, 1953 in Rockford, Illinois, to Lloyd and Mable (Winterland) Essex.  She married the love of her life, Todd C. Marcouex on October 6, 1972 in Wisconsin Rapids. Sandra was a doting grandmother who loved to attend her grandchildren’s sporting and musical events. She was very gifted at needlework, making items that her family members will cherish. Sandra cherished getting together with her family for holidays, especially the Fourth of July.

She is survived by her loving husband, Todd; her children: Michelle (Scott) Arendt, Jason Marcouex, and Stacey (Matt) Lawry; her grandchildren: Zachary Arendt, Marissa (Colton Haasl) Arendt, Lucas Arendt, Trenton Lawry, and Alexander Lawry; her siblings: Tom (Sandy) Essex and Bonnie (John) Dunaway; her nephew and his family: Mark (Brenda) Marcouex, Tara Marcouex, Alexis Marcouex, and Kendra Marcouex; she is further survived by many other nieces, nephews, and relatives.  In addition to her parents, Sandra is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, John and Cecile Marcouex; her brother, Lloyd “Butch” Essex; and her sisters: Nancy Paulsen and Darlene Sanders.

Sandra’s family would like to express a special word of thanks to the City of Wisconsin Rapids ambulance, fire, and police departments.
