Obituary of Kenneth Robert Brown

Kenneth R. Brown. age 89, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Edenbrook of Wisconsin Rapids.

As per his wishes, there will be no public visitation or service.  A private family inurnment will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery and Mausoleum at a later date. Herman-Taylor Funeral Home and Cremation Center is honored to be serving the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.taylorfuneralhome.net.

Kenneth was born November 11, 1928 in Junction City, WI to Fred and Martha (Neuman) Brown.  He married Clara Doebler on June 18, 1952 in Miles City, MT.  They enjoyed nearly 66 years of married life together.  Kenneth honorably served his country in the United States Air Force.  He worked for many years at Consolidated Papers, Inc. in the Grinder Room.  Kenneth loved to go fishing and deer hunting. 

After a fire burned down the family barn, he built a new barn on the family hobby farm that still stands today. Kenneth enjoyed the annual family vacations, particularly to Lake DuBay.  He had the unique talent of being able to crack two eggs with one hand.  Kenneth was very particular about his green lawn, vegetable garden, and flower garden.  He is loved and will be deeply missed.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Clara; children: Robert “Butch” (Natalie) Brown, Wayne (Paula) Brown, Cynthia Bunnell, Kenneth (Kim) Brown, and Alan Brown; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; a brother, Frederick (Gertrude) Brown; a sister-in-law, Alvina Brown; and many extended family and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents; children: Henry Joseph Brown, Dannett Lee Brown, and Danita Lee Brown; sisters: Dorothy (Melvin) Jahns, Lorraine (Lloyd) Yonke, and Edna (Harry) Skibba; brothers: Charles Brown and George (Mildred) Brown; and son-in-law, Harry Bunnell.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to the staff at Edenbrook for their extraordinary compassion and care shown to Kenneth.
