Obituary of Lorraine Jacobs

Lorraine E. Jacobs, 84, of Wisconsin Rapids, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018, at The Waterford at Wisconsin Rapids.

She was born on Oct. 1, 1933, in the town of Grant, to the late Albert and Marie (Saeger) Pribbanow, and attended Lincoln High School. On April 22, 1950, she was married to Donn Jacobs. He passed away on March 4, 2014.

Lorraine was a bus driver at Safe-Way Transit for 47 years and then three more years as a bus aide. She enjoyed camping, the card club, traveling to the Southwest United States, feeding wildlife and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue (Craig); son, Mike (Sandy); daughter, Danna (Al); son, Tom (Leslyn); grandchildren, Tom, Tim, Shannon, Al, Andy, Meghann, Ben and Leigh; five great-grandchildren; many step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law, Lois.

In addition to her parents and husband, Lorraine was preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their gentle and thoughtful kindness.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in Lorraine’s name to Trinity Lutheran Church.

The memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Edwards with Pastor Dan Bohn officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Forest Hill Cemetery, Wisconsin Rapids.
