Obituary of John Stenze
John F. Stenze, age 62, of Wisconsin Rapids, died unexpectedly from a heart attack, on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2018, from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids. A private service will be officiated by Pastor Brian Berg. John was born October 5, 1955 in Chicago, IL to William and Mercedes (Bailey) Stenze. He married the love of his life, Deb Dattilo on December 31, 1977 in Oak Brook, IL. They were blessed with 40 years of married life and unforgettable memories. John graduated in 1980 from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a degree in Elementary Education. He taught in the Adams-Friendship School District for several years and was a substitute teacher in the Nekoosa and Wisconsin Rapids School Districts.
He founded Craftmaster Furniture in Vesper, WI. John thoroughly enjoyed every project he refinished, while watching the transformation into a beautiful finished product. John was greatly appreciated for his masterful work and craftsmanship for over 33 years. He was an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and UW-Whitewater Warhawks. He loved spending time with his family. John will be deeply missed.
John is the loving husband of Deb; the proud father of Melissa (Justin) Rauth and James Stenze. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Bill Stenze; and an infant sister, Marilyn Stenze.
